Holy Thursday

By April 9, 2020No Comments

Today, short and sweet. We’re getting ready to celebrate the Triduum and specifically Holy Thursday, or the Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper. Dear Fr. Harmon will be our presider. I’ll be in the background somewhere, trying to distract him. The Mass will be live-streamed at 7:00 p.m. on the Facebook page called St. Ignatius Loyola – Denver. There are SEVERAL unauthorized Loyola FB pages out there, and we’re not the only Loyola Parish in the United States, so you’ll want the correct one. Check Flocknote and the website for a link, too. We’ll live-stream as well for Good Friday and the Vigil. We’re doing this because we’ve been asked not to record the Triduum Masses. On Easter Sunday we’ll be back to recording and posting on the website. I know it’s a little confusing. I wish it weren’t, and I’m sorry.

Thank you so much to those of you who participated in yesterday’s Loyola town hall Zoom meeting! It was, in a word, wonderful: to see so many faces, to hear so many voices, and to see an entire group of people (56 people attended!) smile AT THE SAME TIME. And there were dogs and cats! We’re going to have another meeting in a couple of weeks, so stay tuned. Thanks for Fr. Harmon for the idea and to Joe Lagan, the director of our Ignatian Spirituality Program, for hosting.

Gratitude. Appreciation. Community. Looking forward to praying with you. And you are loved.
